It’s been a while since the last update so there’s quite a bit to catch up on.
Firstly the ‘Reco Men’ shoot for Hanlau Films went really well. Mike recently saw an early edit of the film and was very pleased with how it’s coming together. To recap the film was shot on HD in May and also features Beth Winslet, Kemal Shahin and Jeff Rudom. It has been entered into the Raindance and London Film Festivals. More news to follow.
‘Hardcore’ was screened at Cannes back in May and the feedback has been promising. The screening was sold out and was standing room only and there may be some exciting news about the project soon. In June Mike worked on an ITN Factual production for the Discovery Channel. The programme ‘Nearly History’ deals with the first IVF baby, Louise Brown, and Mike played Dr John Webster who was the registrar at Louise’s birth back in 1978. The programme is due to be aired in America later this year.
An audio book narrated by Mike, ‘Little Boy Lost‘, is currently adorning the front cover of this months PC Advisor magazine. Written by W H Hudson it follows one small boys adventure through a magical kingdom.
Talking of audio books, Mike’s current project for the AudioBooksForFree.com website is ‘The Golden Fleece’ by Julian Hawthorne.
Finally, at the beginning of this month, Mike played a detective in the British comedy ‘In Your Dreams‘ which is due for cinematic release next year. The film stars Dexter Fletcher, Elize du Toit, Parminder Nagra, Linda Hamilton and Susan George.

AA Commercial Location
March 11th, 2006
A couple of people have emailed the site and asked about the location for the AA advert and whether it was as cold as it looked! The first answer is that it was shot on the banks of Wastwater in the Lake District. According to some of the locals it was the worst weather they had seen in ages so yes - it was that cold! The Wasdale Web has a few pictures taken by a local journalist.
