Reco Men In Pre-Production

The new AA “You’ve Got A Friend” commercial was aired for the first time today and looks very impressive and is sure to be on your screens for some time.
In other news, Mike will be teaming up again with Beth Winslet for the next Hanlau Films production which has the working title ‘Reco Men’. Co-starring in the film are Jeff ‘The Big Guy’ Rudom who was seen recently in ITV’s series “Celebrity Fit Club” and Kemal Shahin of Big Brother fame. ‘Reco Men’ is due to start filming in May and, as ever, we’ll come back to the project once we have more news.
Finally, the Body Fat Monitor advert that Mike shot last year for JML is currently being screened in Boots stores across the country. Mike plays the doctor in a spoof infomercial about a magic slimming pill.
Recording At Abbey Road

Last week saw Mike at the world famous Abbey Road Studios recording the vocals for the new AA commercial which is due to be on UK screens in March. Sadly no camera was handy as he made his way across the famous zebra crossing so we’ll have to update the site on his next visit!
Alfie Banned By ITV

Mike was involved in the Cobravision competition last year and his series of films about Alfie the urban zombie were due to be screened on ITV2 in the summer. Neil Jones, the director of the films, confirmed today that ITV have banned the films from being screened on the channel due to their ‘offensive’ nature despite being initially selected for viewing.

AA Commercial - You’ve Got A Friend

Mike was filming a commercial for the AA last week in Manchester and the Lake District. Directed by the award winning Tony Kaye of ‘American History X‘ fame, it is due to be screened in March. Tony Kaye is one of the leading commercial directors in the world and his work includes ads for Guiness, Reebok and Volvo.
In other news, ‘As If It Were Nothing’ is being shown at the Dam Short Film Festival in Nevada on 10 February. It is being screened in the Avant-Garde section and further information can be found on the festival website.
Nicked

Mike completed filming a short for Black Cat Productions this weekend with the working title ‘Nicked’. The film also stars Beth Winslet and will be out next year for the 2006 festival circuit.
In other news a trailer for the animated sitcom ‘Kingsland’ is available to download on the Kingsland website.
Lights 2 - Return Of The Shadow

The latest installment of the ‘Lights’ series of films from Glory Film Company has been released.
‘Lights 2 - Return of the Shadow’ is the third film in the series. You may recall that Mike featured in ‘Lights 2‘ which was the last film made by British screen legend Sir John Mills and was shot by Oscar award winning cinematographer Jack Cardiff.
The ‘Lights’ series of films are directed by Marcus Dillistone.
Destiny Wireless Corporate Video

Mike played the role of Mr Smith in a corporate video presentation for Destiny Wireless last week. The video was produced by Beaucroft.
In addition he began work on his 25th talking book for AudioBooksForFree.com.
The Koran Audio Book

The audio book project mentioned below (30 August) was released today on the AudioBooksForFree website. Weighing in at over 22 hours it is an English translation of the Koran.

The Occupier In Post Production
